G37s Vs E46 M3

yea they definitely do... but I think the G would take the m3 on a roll

14.2 seems a tad high according to what others have gotten on the forum. I think quickest is mid 13s, but usually ppl get high 13s. Not as big a difference as in that clip, but still slower than that e46 m3 though.

That driver in the G sucked. I remember a while back someone got into the really low 13's or even high 12's with some drag radials and everything else stock.

That G37 driver definitely sucked, he didn't even look like he was trying. The G (stock) might not beat the E46 but it should be much closer than that.

Sticker tires like drag radials make a big difference. High 12's though? i doubt it.

I love when I see video's like this and watch as people automatically come to conclusions. Without taking into consideration of handling, track performance, straight line performance is alot closer then that video has illustrated.. I have raced e46 m3's and never once did it pull away from me or even pull in front of me. A friend of mine owns an e46 and e92 m3. Ill take my own video and post it.

Take both cars, put two professional drivers in em and lets have another go. Secondly, Lets compare to 6mt tranny's instead of an M3's Smg Tranny which is a heck of alot better (power delievery, shift speed,etc) then 08 and more then likely 09 7 speed tranny's. That G needed a proper launch to say the least, and correct me if I am wrong but doesn't the m3 produces a ton of torque way lower in the rpm band that our g's. That G took a **** at the line..

So it's definitely a driver's race, given the same driver though, the M3 would outperform.

I've DRIVEN both at streets of willow. and yes the E46 M3 is the better performer...in every class. the inline 6 produces a very usable powerband and it's also almost 200 lbs. lighter (non convert). we don't need to take two pro drivers to make a test valid. just same driver, same day, same course. the E46 m3 is the better car.
