So0O why g37 over 335 ?
I'm shopping for a new car , g37s 6mt and 335 6mt are the top 2 on my list , looks and interior I like g37 but the fact that you can ecu 335 for $500 and be as fast as m5 lol makes me want to get the 3 , just want to hear why you chose g37 over 335 and if you could turn back time would you take the 3 or any other car ? and what would it be thanks

--------> $$$$$$$$$$$$$$ Best bang for the buck, you really can't beat the G. If it's speed that you want, you'll want the 3-series (can't beat twin-turbos). If it's ANYTHING else other than speed, the G hands down, especially price wise.

I was in the same oaat as you are with the choice. Here's some of my deciding factors for the G over the 335i which I seriously considered.
Reliability. Better value. Familiarity (been a loyal Nissan owner for a while). Personal preference. Better dealer service (in my particular case). Better sales experience. More fun to drive. Great experience so far; would buy again.

ughhhh lol I hate nissans service they always try to charge me to pay for things that are suposed to be under the waranty , I also thought g37 was very fun to drive especially the way you're sitting feels like a porsche lol , my maxima is very fast now fully bolt ond 6 speed and I feel like I'll get bored out of g37 thats the only thing I'm scared of , and modding a leased car is the worst thing to do lol it's a NA so a lot of mods will have to go on to gain at leats something

in the g37 you got a lot more bang for the buck.. with all the same options you will be at around 8 thousand dollars cheaper, maybe even more... also if u wanna use the extra eight grand you could put in twin turbs and be pushing alot more horsepower than a 335i would.. get the 37 you will be much happier

well... it really depends on what you're looking for... the bmw interior is a bit bland for my taste... and i think the g37 is more bang for the buck... not to mention bmw's maintenance program is awesome, but after it's over, you're gonna get screwed when you have to pay out of pocket for something that breaks...

Way nicer interior IMO. Better exterior looks. Best bang for your buck. And it doesnt resemble a cheaper version, like a 328i. Between 328i and 335i they are ALL over the place..
The only thing i can say the 335i honestly has over the g37 is the dam tt engine, i caint get over how much potential it has. |

I think most of us faced the same dilemma. Personally, I went with the G over the 335 because:
-BMW sales guy was a D**K -Awesome customer service at my Infiniti dealer -The exterior and interior style of the G is more appealing to me -The G seems to be more reliable than the 335i based on everything I've read -I got my fully loaded G37 for less than a 328i with comparable features -I wanted something different. I live in MN and the 335/328 are extremely common cars to see. They just blend in. The G37 coupe has been out since late 2007. Including my own, I've seen a total of 5 up to this day. If you want a fast car that is nice then the 335i is your car. If you want a sexy car that can go fast then the G is for you.

Basically, what everyone else has said already:
Better value for the amount of performance you get. The 335 has more low end torque, 300 lb.ft at 1400rpm, but up top, the G has an extra 30hp. Better looks, hands down. The G has way better curves IMO. The BMW looks like it hasn't been redesigned since the 70s. It looks like a box.... Way rarer. The way one of my colleagues put it "every person with a dog has a BMW". Don't get me wrong, no car is perfect and the 335 is a great car also. Both the G and the BMW has its set of problems, and no car is better than the other in all categories. It's partially down to personal preference. If you want slightly faster, and don't mind paying disproportionately for it, then 335. If you want brand name, then 335....but really then why not buy a low end/slightly used Porsche. If you want value and a car that stands out, G37. |
