What was your very first car - Page 4

2006 Nissan Xterra Off-Road. Parents got it for me when I got my license at 16. Got it in February, on October 6th an old lady ran a red light and was speeding, t-boned me. My X spun around 180 degrees, then rolled onto its side so I was looking out my drivers side window at asphalt. Obviously it was totalled. She hit me so hard it popped my engine up out of my hood a couple inches...

So after that the insurance money we got was used to buy a 2007 Hummer H2, Glacier Blue color (limited edition), I loved it, and it was perfect for me for surfing and towing my jetskis and fishing and towing my boat, and I like off-roading, but with gas prices rising I couldn't afford to keep filling it up. Averaged 11.8mpg. Insurance money bought the car, but I was the one paying for gas, hence the G.

So now I've got the '08 G37S, I paid for it, kinda. My parents and grandparents have been putting money away for me to go to college since I was conceived pretty much, but I got partial scholarships so they let me use some of that money to buy my G.

3 Speed Automatic... Awww yeah.... until i blew the 3rd gear on my tranny somehow and then it became a 2 speed automatic.

My first car was a 1969 Dodge Dart GT.... Bought it off of some old lady in Inglewood, CA for $800... Had a slant six in it... Tore it out the first day I got the car home (it was pretty much seized anyways) and built a 360 ci monster pushing 525 hp on pump gas (ported/polished Edelbrock Heads, Edelbrock RPM Air Gap Intake, Isky 485 lift camshaft, Doug Thorley headers, 2.5" exhaust with Spin Tech Mufflers, just the works!)... Had a Tourqueflite 727 with an 8-3/4 rear end... Had that bad boy running high 11's with Drag Radials and low 12's on street tires... What a blast that car was!!! Dam i miss it now......

My first car was a 1957 Chevrolet Bel-Air (white w/ red interior) that I bought used in 1960. It was a fine car that I drove all around the country while on active duty. With the prices they get for them now, I should have kept it.

Wow Chekov... Those are going for $100K+ nowadays!! I went to Route 66 Rendezvous out here in San Berdoo and saw 3 for sale that were more than $100K!!!!!!!!

You shoulda held on to it!!!

You’re right. But it gets worse. I wanted a NEW car so I traded it in on a new ’63 Oldsmobile Dynamic 88. I really didn’t like it much, so as a bachelor with plenty of money, I then bought a new ’65 Buick Riviera. That was the perfect car for a kid in his twenties. I then sold it to my brother to get a ’67 Riviera. But it turned out the ’65 was a much classier car and I was once again sorry I got rid of it.

Second car: 2008 Infiniti G37 baby! Planning on paying it off on my own but my parents helped with the down payment and are paying my first 3 months =]

The one and only 1989 Pontiac 6000 LE fully loaded with factory custom gauges and two-tone paint job. Very fun car to drive and I still use it to this day.
