Ehh... Even as a fan of the Genesis coupe, I'm gonna say BS on the 11's. I'd have to see some time slips or a video to believe it. Have your friend post a video clip of it on youtube or something like that.

Hyundai are not bad cars, they have come a long way from what they use to be. But just look at the specs, for a car thats lighter with about the same hp, I dont see how its so much slower than the G. Seriously, the Infiniti with the dealer cash and manufacture rebates plus comparably equipped is not too much of a difference in price. You cannot compare a fully equipped G37 with premium, sport, navi to a fully loaded genesis that don't even have navi as an option.

numbers dont mean anything. My buddies del sol with 550whp did a 13.1 at the track.

I kinda dont care if you believe it or not, if you know much about forced induction vehicles then you would know getting more performance out of them vs a NA car is a lot easier.

I'm just reporting it is what it is. With a bigger turbo, some fuel upgrades, a downpipe, and some tuning, here we go 11's.

You do realize just stock configuration the Genesis 2.0T gets over 50rwhp and 80rwtq just from a simple dyno tune right? Since it is tuned so rich and conservative from the factory.

For real? 11s on stock exhaust, not even an intake? just a bigger turbo and downpipe is good enough for 11s, wowsie, time to sell the porsche and the ferrari and get a HYUNDAI.

People did the same "holy ****" reaction back when 2003-2004 Mustang Cobras were hitting mid 11's on $2000 worth of mods too.

Obviously the Genesis needs a little bit more of an investment, but yes the 2.0 turbo motor hits 11's without evening popping off the valve covers.

yeah, and I bet its running 11s on stock tires too. Dude, how are you gonna put a cobra mustang into this. The thing is more than twice the size in displacement when compared to the Genesis. I don't doubt the Mustangs running 11s with mods here and there, but its gonna take the Genesis alot of work to run 11s. I know bigger Turbos can do wonder, but don't make it sound like you can order a big turbo online and just replace the stock turbo on the Genesis and voila.... 11s And Im pretty sure the stock trans is going to hold up perfectly fine.

How can I bring a Cobra into the mix? Because people scoffed at them running 11's as well when they first came out especially with their minimal mods.

Second off, if I were you, I wouldn't question my knowledge on modifying cars. I currently own a C6 Z06 with a 454 Stroker and a Procharger F1A that I've built on my own. I'm extremely knowledgable on what it takes to build a vehicle to make it go fast down the 1320. The Genesis's respond very well to modifications, and can hold a decent amount of hp on stock parts. What more do you want me to say about it? It's been a proven fact the damn things make 50hp and 70tq at the wheels with just a simple tune, are you really that blind to not believe with a turbo swap, some fuel upgrades and some bolt ons they won't scoot? I think you need a lesson in how to build a car.

The fact is bolt ons, a tune, a turbo, and some tires will make them run 11's... the end
