Tint exemption
I has anyone here from NY applied for a tint exemption certificate with the DMV? In Section 375 (12-a) part c there is a an exemption clause.

I had one in IL with my old car due to my grandmother having vitiligo (skin disorder, google if interested). She had tints on her car and her doctor wrote her a note after she got pulled over (no ticket for her of course) so she went to the DMV and had a note applied to her record under her plates so anytime a cop would run her license or plates, the note would pop up.
I borrowed the note and had it applied to my car as well... I had the pleasure of being pulled over once and the young cop was pretty furious knowing he couldn't give me a ticket. |
