Another newbie...taking delivery 10/14

Hi all! Just thought I'd throw the newbie hat in the ring. I've got a 2009 G37x coupe with Premium, Navi, spoiler and cargo net almost ready to go (they're installing the spoiler but had to order the part so I can't pick it up until Tuesday at the earliest but I can't get to the dealer til Weds so oh well!) I went with Blue Slate with the wheat interior. I'm not much of a modder so I'm thinking I should just pay for the nicer wheels (the 9 spoke) but I'm not sure they're worth the money.

I've owned and driven my 1999 G20 for 10 years so this will be a nice jump up! I'm in eastern PA so it'll be fun to get out on the open road. Hopefully sooner than later!

Thanks guys. Yeah I hear ya Sam! I just drove by an Athens Blue G37 Sport this morning and had to stop and look (it was parked in a lot.) There aren't many on the road around here but I'm already starting to really notice the ones that are around. It had the 9 spoke wheels and looked sharp!

Can't wait to pick it up!

Yep getting a little bit antsy Dr. J! We went to a movie and then stopped at the local Infiniti dealer on the way home (they're like 2 minutes from the movie theater) and walked the lot. It wasn't a big lot but they had a ton of G37x Sedans (I saw everything from base to G37xS sedans.) They had one convertible and about 5 coupes (1 Sport, 2 AWD, 2 Journey) and the two X coupes were in Moonlight White and Platinum Graphite...both with Graphite interiors. I know I know...this thread is useless without pics but didn't have a good camera on me (just the wife's camera phone.)

The goal was to give the wife a much more "up close and personal" look at the color options and the interior of the coupe. I also gained a better appreciation of the stock wheels (I was debating on upgrading them but I'm satisfied with the stock dual 5 spoke look for now...especially with the PA winter coming) and enjoyed going row by row without any salesmen around. There were three Blue Slate X sedans right in a row and they looked really, really sharp. I saw the Lakeshore Slate sedan alongside it and it looked OK but I thought the BS really looked nice.

This just gets me 100x more excited to take delivery. It can't be Wednesday fast enough. I'm like a kid on Christmas morning stepping up from 10 years in a G20.

Def will post pics once I pick it up! We're supposed to have crap weather for the end of the week (Thurs, Fri and Sat = rain) so thanks a lot mother nature! I'll have to keep it out and about Thursday but Friday it's going back in the garage til Monday (I come home Friday 11 AM.) All the more reason to start the detailing on Sunday after the weather breaks!

Congrats on your big upgrade! I just had a new one myself. Made a deposit first day of september and got the car 10/1. That was the longest month of my life.

OK an update! I locked in a better rate from my credit union on the remaining balance (3.99 for 60 vs 5.79) but they just mailed out the docs (and the check) so I'm going to wait until they show up. The dealer said they'd take a check from me and then hold it until the other check showed up but I'd prefer to just have the credit union's money there when I close the deal.

It's sooooooooooooo painful to wait another day or two especially with the crappy weather coming Thurs & Fri (supposedly) but I think I'm doing the right thing here.

So the agony will be extended a couple of days...ugh!!!

*Thanks Trip...I was checking out your pic of your ride and it looks sweet. Love the rims and the drop! I was going to look into the Eibach drop for my x since it doesn't seem like anyone else makes x springs but I'm also debating on doing it after winter since I living on a pretty steep hill and have a pretty steep grade driveway so I'm a bit concerned there.

Can't wait guys (although I guess I'll have to.)

OK Got the loan docs and the check from the credit union in the mail today (yippie!) but with the horrendous weather in the Northeast I talked to the dealership and I'll be taking delivery on Monday. So a little bit more of a delay but I will be able to take some solid pics on Monday!

Can't wait to join the G nation!
