First off if you have never ran the 1/4 mile then this won't work for you. For those that have ran the 1/4 mile go to
dragtimes.com and enter which track you were on and which day. Here you will find a list of times of day that the weather was recorded. Choose the closest minute to which you ran. Click on the time of day and then enter your E.T. and MPH. This will give you your corrected E.T. and MPH. Enter information
HERE
Enter your vehicle weight, with you in it, and your corrected MPH. Your vehicle weight can be found
HERE. If you have modifications to your car that may be involved with weight then try and take those into account to give you the most accurate results.
For my car I entered my vehicle weight as 3800 pounds with me in it, with less than a 1/4 tank of gas. Stock the curb weight is just over 3600 pounds. So with gas and a few weight reduction mods I should be fairly close. Corrected MPH was somewhere around 103.5 I believe. Final outcome was 328.xxx HP, which is the factory quoted spec.
Anyway, I think this is just a fun way to compare simulated dynos across the country with different mods since there are sooooo many different results and the fact that nobody really ever gets the chance to get on a dyno anyway. Have fun with it.
