Didn't replace them. They are just painted glossy black like my headlight housing. Completely opaque. No bulb behind them.

I still really love the glossy black wheels and get compliments on them all the time. I wouldn't think matte black would look as good with a black car.

I did my grille myself and it has just a few chips. Lots of shops won't warranty paint on it because it does chip easily. The key to good results is proper prep (sanding, primer) before painting. I think Limited Edition (site vendor) does it.

You replied some time ago to a wheel question I had and shared a picture of your car. Cool. Few questions - noticed you had black Volks and I was wondering do you still like black gloss over say matte? Still deciding and I gave a blk G also. I also like the blk painted grille but when ever I inquire about having it done I am always told the there would be no warranty/guarantee as the paint chips away very easily. What's your experience and did you do it yourself or have it done. Thx - Lawrence
