Question Disconnect battery during the intake installnation?

I am going to put INJEN SRI in to my G, the question i have is, is that necessary to disconnect the battery cable while i am install it? i really dont want to lost all my songs and address that i saved in my HD. What is the purpose of disconnecting battery during the intake installnation?

Hey, i got pack to your pm.

Disconnecting the battery wont affect anything on the HD, like songs or anything. It will only affect your memory seats and radio presets. Which arent that hard to reset. The only reason I say its needed is cause i unpluged my MAF once for something and plugged it back in and started throughing a CEL light. So i then had do disconnect the batt. to clear the cel.

as long as the MAF is plugged in before the car is turned on you should be ok. even if the car is in the 'on' position without the engine turned on it will give you that CEL.

You dont need to disconnect it, just make sure you dont start the car without the MAF sensors installed inside the intakes.

No, I had the Tanabe but felt it was louder than I liked....so I'm sticking with OEM exhaust for now. Yeah, don't disconnect your battery. Just make sure everything is connected properly and secured before starting your car after you install the SRI.

I dont think it's too lound. It just depends on your preference. Some people think it is too loud but it's one of the quitest exhausts out there. I think it sounds great.
