Maybe this should be in a cooking blog. Funny things you find peopel talking about. I like the grill at the resturaunt. It's always clean when I get home and they always make it right!

the george forman grill is crap. i had the large one (cooks 4 steaks) and it broke after 10 uses. at least i salvaged the grill plates for stovetop grilling.

it's much better to use a pan to grill one side (steak or fish), then after 3-5 minutes flip and throw into a pre-heated oven. after desired temp, let the meat rest for 10 minutes. that's how restaurants do it. the forman grill doesn't do this well at all.
