Not a huge fan of Boudin King. It's OK, but not great. I'll try that Market Basket, but it will be hard to beat Best Stop.

Update:

I talked to my mom last night. The reason it seemed like I couldn't find he MB on Country Club in Streetview is because it has relocated.

New location (closer to the interstate, anyway) is at the corner of McNeese and Nelson Rd in Lake Charles.

Looks flavorful, most sausage doesn't look to good, but most is. When you think about what the majority of sausage is made of its suprising they sometimes look as good as they do.

speaking of kings.. my birthday is this sunday. When speaking to my mom yesterday, she mentioned that she's having two King Cakes shipped over for me. I'll have them on tomorrow or Friday!!!! i'm so excited!

I'm chaldean and we have a plate similar to Boudin. Its called pacha, the fam usually cooks it during christmas and only during big occasions.

lol...how did i miss this thread

u ever pass by Don's specialty meats off I-10 BB? going to new orleans....i love that place...i usually pick up some boudin and cracklins...i never really eat boudin much even when i lived in nola but don's is really good

dunno of any places with good boudin here in tx tho

Where off of I-10? That's a lot of highway between H-Town and NOLA Nam.

I always stop at Best Stop in Scott on the way over and it's the best I've ever found, but I'm always searching for something better if it exists.

there's a gas station in either Lake Arthur or Jennings (can't remember) that has the best fried boudin balls and fried pickles i've ever had. wish i knew how to get to it.
