Plasti Dipped Black Grille

Can of Plasti Dip -- $5
Painters Tape -- $3
Sunday Newspaper -- $2

$10 for a black grille. Beats $300 from the dealer. Did this with the grille on the car so that I wouldnt have to remove it.

Lol nice job, but you do realize the grille is held on by 5 nuts? It literally takes 2 minutes to get it off... Still looks good. I did the same thing, but made mine like the oem midnight black grille. Now spend the proper money and go low! :P

I would really suggest taking the grille off the car next time if you do it. You really dont wanna be spraying paint into that area..

ya agreed. not to mention overspray and you risk getting it on the paint with the tape.

Looks pretty good. I'm not usually an advocate of plasti-dip, but this looks well done. I would love to see how a clear coat would take on the grill.

It looks good but you really should ve just taken the grill off the car. You most likely have some overspray behind your grill now.

yes theres a thread on the G35 forum about it. people have been using Rustoleum spray it paint over it and it works good. i bought the gloss black rustoleum to go over my PD but never ended up putting it on because i was so impressed with the PD finish

+1 it takes 5 mins to remove the grill
