haha nah i just like to have fun with it. I put 1750 miles on 2 weeks and than I broke it. It has been at the dealership for 2 weeks now and they cant fix it. Now the specialist saw it and said to replace pretty much everything on the engine. I'm pissed and trying to get a replacement, but Infiniti are *******s and will not do it so far, just try to fix it. My best bet is the lemon law.

I'm in the middle of a trip from Austin, to Kansas. We just got here last night and did 25.1mpg. I have a pic of my nav screen after a fill up showing 467 miles till empty! The gas mileage really only happens on PURE highway driving. We used cruise for the majority of the time set at times as high as 80.

with 80/20 i can avg 23 - 24 mpg. the trick is to not exceed 71-72 MPH, and to lightly feather the throttle. also, don't use cruise control, because over hills and overpasses, it'll goose the throttle pretty hard and lightly brake on the downslope. instead, keep throttle constant and allow a loss of speed on the ascension, then keeping throttle constant again, let gravity help pick your speed up on the downslope.

i drive a decent amount on freeways for work and can reproduce those numbers frequently. if i'm going from home to the office, it's about 50/50 and i'll avg about 21mpg.

when i take her out for the twisties on the weekend though... i'll avg about 15 to 16mpg

Just got my best MPG ever since buying the car with 7 miles on it...26 mpg according to the computer...cruise set at 72 for approximately 200 miles with no lane changes or having to push the brakes. I usually average 22-23...G37 base so it might be due to the weight difference (less) compared to sport etc...

First day of driving on my commute to work 90/10 highway with traffic (Atlanta). Car still in run in, only 120 miles. Averaged about 22 or 23mpg today, although resetting the one in the dash read at 26mpg on the way home. 70 Miles on tank so far, comp saying 312 still in the tank. I'll report back at week end.

Just filled her up after 1 weeks driving, below are the stats:

Miles on tank: 372
Refill: 16.71 Gallons
Price: $4.22

First tank consumption: 22.3mpg
Computer Read between 22 and 23 first tank

I'm delighted with that for the first tank of gas in this car. The gas was also from Quik Trip (dealer supplied), and with my Audi I got better mileage from BP or Shell, so this time I used BP ultimate for my refill. If the gas mileage improves after the run in period, coupled with better quality fuel, I can easily see me averaging 24 mpg.

My mpg was higher, but today I sat mostly in traffic for the 30 miles I drove, reducing my average. Overall very impressed, the car and consumption is fine, its just damn high oil prices that hurt. I'll report back with week 2 data.

Update: Drive up to Toronto ... with A/C on and 250 miles. Averaged ~23mpg (9L/100km) as per car computer. Drove about 65-80mph much of the way, all in 6th gear. And I don't hammer the throttle.

Otherwise ... mixed city/highway (90 city, 10 highway), I am lucky to get 17mpg. Car has 700 miles on it.

Thanks!
