Men's dress socks

What brand do you like if you wear them? I'm looking to try others that don't get holes in the toe so easily. Other than Gold Toe, most of my other ones seem to get holes after only a few brief wearings. Nautica, Hilfiger and Polo are the ones I have that don't seem to hold up. Anybody have other favorites?

Yes I now this is a kind of offbeat and weird question, feel free to bash.

I know it's a bit off the beaten track, but some of us like looking nice when we dress up. Don't hate me because I'm impeccably dressed. If you are comfortable wearing these with an expensive designer suit, knock yourself out.

I don't know. I usually just get black socks cause no one really see anything beside you wearing black sock. I have long ones for dressing up and short one with black tennis shoes

Cool! Do they get toe holes easily? That's one of my pet peeves.

It's Gold Toe and Nordstrom for me. Nordy's has sizes for big guys and socks that are too big for me or one's that actually fit, they have small, medium, large, xlarge, and even xxlarge in sock sizes. Thier sizes go past the usual 10-13 sock size found everywhere. It also depends on the type of fabric. If you like the sheerer ones, they will get holes more easily. The cotton ones will last longer. Maybe you can try a conbination, say some nice socks from Nordy's and then maybe clip your toe nails a bit more often. Seems like if you keep 'em clipped you get less holes. Also wearing slippers around the house also helps the socks wear better on the bottom. Carpet is bad for the feet and the socks. Too bad I only wear athletic socks with all my suits. Whites socks with my black suits are SSSCCCHHHHWWEEEETTT! Very European.

Booyah! Exactly what I wanted to know. I do have pretty large feet (15) and as you know it's hard for us to find anything nice, shoes or socks, in our size. Thanks.

I buy all my shoes, suits, ties, shirts, pants and socks at Nordy's. It's the only place a big man can get to try on a suit and not have to order it and then see if it fits. Long ties, shirts that fit. It's the great department store on earth for large guys. Love the return policy. Sorry that's a little to gay now.

Nope. They hold up very well. I buy them at ross or marshalls and they last long even you wash them every week. Hope this helps.

I never thought of that Shum. I would think that buttsecksers would be studying other holes though... I wouldn't know by experience. Is that how it's done?
