Try the Clarks shoe store brand. The store here in the Houston galleria offers a lifetime guarantee. At least they did when I bought some a couple months ago. I don't wear them very much so I can't comment on durability but the lifetime guarantee should help. Price was comparable to most others and i happen to catch them on sale.

i usually go with polo. but you said thats not working for you so i dont know what else to say. besides i rarely wear dress socks. i wear timberland boots to work and crappy shorts or jeans, unless im with a client, thats when i break out the polo at work!

Nothing is better than putting on a brand new pair of white socks. Nothing! If I could put on a brand new pair every day and discard the previous day's pair of socks I would.

I actually go through alot of socks. I actually buy new socks every 4 months or so and toss out my old ones.

I usually just get whatever is on sale at Off 5th.

This thread is amazing. I really cannot remember when I had a hole in my socks.

I guess if you have 12" toenails then you have to buy socks evryday.

I wear dress socks everyday and I'll bet some of them are 3 or 4 years old and no holes. Every four months you need new socks, wow. I hvae socks i run everyday and they don't get holes either. Clip your nails and it might save you a few dollars on the long run.

Their is usually nothing wrong with them, I just love the feeling of new socks. Plus they are cheap enough, it is a small luxury.

I am kinda weird too. I am a nuclear engineer and travel alot because of my job for a week or two at a time. When I am at a plant, I am easily on my feet for 12-14 hours each day. I really dont like the idea of putting dirty stinky socks back in my suitcase with my nice suits (even if they are in a plastic bag). So I usually just throw them away and buy new ones when I get back home.

I also go through a pair of shoes easily every 4 months or so.
