i heard it's there to hold all the snow melting water

like in Winnipeg, all the neighbourhoods have mini man made lakes/ponds everywhere

Ya it is a runn off lake. but it is filtered so it is clean. you can swim and stuff in it. but no no poo goes in the lake. well except for the fish that are in it it is stocked with trout
