I knew someone would say that. Watches are fashion accessories but yeah their purpose of telling time has been taken over by cell phones. True.

That always happens. As the new models start coming in the old model prices drop. I buy them because I like them. Not as an investment. Most watches dont hold their value, just like cars...

I buy them because I like them as well. Most people say their simple but with the tungsten edition it kind of stands out. May consider a tungsten model because of the drop in price. Plus my cousin works at Zales.

I personally don't wear a watch and carry no cellphone (though I keep one in my car). I find it the most luxurious to not have to watch the time or be reachable by phone when I'm not working. If I did need to be timely, I'd probably look into a Luminox. For those into expensive bling, here are some cool ideas without going the diamond-encrusted route:

I'm starting to miss the look of a good watch on my wrist. I haven't worn one since high school since I hated how either you'd get the mother of all wrist tans, or your wrist would smell like crap. I wouldn't mind a nice Movado or Tag Heuer right now...then again, that's almost a car payment right there

Tag Heuer Link Black Face Diamond Dial.

My Bezel on the Tag Rotates as well. It's pretty useless, but is meant to be rotated, set at 0 for the current minute hand. That way you can keep track of either how long you've been in a meeting, how long you've been underwater etc...
