I too plan on dropping coin on the 2.0 version when its available. I wonder what the market will be for my 8 GB current version? I got it on release day and it doesn't have so much as a single scratch (screen protector and rubber armor since day 1).

After one of the FW updates, mobile Google has been the default and I have to choose classic everytime I visit. Also my browser loads MSN mobile instead of the regular version which sucks. I don't even see any option to load the regular version. Any way around these annoyances?

I'm going to try and get around $215 for it.

Supposedly Steve Jobs is going to make the annoucement tommorow and debut the new iPhone. I'm still waiting to find out what the new prices will be and if I can get a better deal by renewing my contract. I'll post a new thread once the phone is officially announced and some more info is available.

I heard the news on CNN that the 2.0 was coming out soon. I had been wantign an Iphone and now the new one is supposed to be less expensive and have faster internet access- KEWL!

$199 w/2yr for 4GB. I'm only upgrading for 3G, downgrading from 8-4GB. 3G is like a T1 compared to 2.5.

Not being cheap, I don't use the iPhone for music or movies, and when I take trips, 4GB is enough for some songs.

I figured as much. I was just screwing with you. Actually i want somebody else to confirm they are doing it so I'll feel more justified in wasting the money on something I don't need.

don't worry BB, i'm right there with you.

i'm going to unlock my 8G and sell it on ebay. should easily make the 299 needed for the 16G version.

unlike DGC, i DO use my iphone as a movie and music device... the more storage the better. right now i've got about 150 songs and 4 full length movies on mine. i'd like more...

974 songs here, no movies.

Do you guys really think that a mint 8 GB will fetch $200 to $300 after the new version hits? I hope so but that seems pretty steep. The only factor that may help is that Apple will have V.2 locked up pretty tight at first until someone hacks it.

the beta of 2.0 is already jailbroken...

if you want to fetch 2 to 300, sell it now and use an old phone until the new one comes out.

i'm not selling mine until i know how much of a raping.. err, price increase ATT will levy for the 3G service.
