Setrab Series 6, 16 row oil cooler. $145 Shipped.

Bought from eBay seller. Setrab is made in Sweden and it is best oil cooler out there.

8AN 90 Degree Double Swivel Hose End - Anodize from sweet performance. $16.94 each you need two.

8AN 45 Degree Double Swivel Hose End - Anodize also from sweet performance. $16.94 each you need two.

You have option of using 8AN or 10AN. We chose 8AN, no special reason. But make sure to fit all hose and hose ends to match the size. Make sure to use Anodized hose ends.

8AN Stainless Steel Braided Hose - $6.50 per foot from sweet performance. We used 6ft, but I recommend 8ft. All aftermarket oil cooler kits use, nylon hose. But we opted for stainless steel for protection against rocks and debris.

Mocal Hi Flow Sandwich Plate Thermostat BSP Adaptors, $95 shipped from eBay Seller.

Oil Cooler $145
Anodize Hose Ends (x4) $67.76
Stainless Steel Hose 6ft $39
Mocal Hi-Flo T adapter $95
10AN to 8AN adapter (x2) $20

Total cost before tax $366.76

After acquire, all item above fitting is pretty easy. Almost

1. Remove bumber
2. Fit 90 degree hose ends on Sandwich adapters
3. Run hose up and over intake duct.
4. Secure oil cooler in front of radiator. I ran holes through center steel post and secured with some bolt. But there are brackets out there.
5. fasten 45 degree hose ends to the oil cooler.

we have originally planned to place the oil cooler on the driver side of the vehicle. However 3 ft stainless hose we bought forced us to move the oil cooler over to passenger side. Oil filter is closer to the passenger side of the G37.

Yes we are lucky, one of our friend owns a service center. So we got to use his.

Drain all you oil before any fitting

Remove oil filter and fit the thermostat sandwich adapter

Run the hose over and through intake duct.

Make sure to adjust angle of the oil cooler so the hose nor the ends touch other parts of the car. We fitted our between front sway bar and ignition motor on top. It is tight.

For now at the street, I am not able to test. However December 20, 2009. I will be attending track event at the SpeedVentures. I will post Oil Temperatures through the track event. Wish me luck.

Laguna Seca, AKA Mazda Raceway March 15-16, 2010. We all know is the most historic track in California. For both Northern and Southern Californians, the Mazda Raceway in Laguna Seca sits 30 miles off coast of Monterey Bay.

Two day event Organized by Alfa Romeo Owners Club Southern California. Is a great event not only for Alfa Owners but for all car enthusiasts and track goers.

On September of 2009, I had the opportunity to attend arosc.org, track event at Buttonwillow. For more information on the Buttonwillow 2009 please click here. It was a two days of track, fun, barb-q, and great experience. I got to meet friendly staff, which instructed and guided me for best track experience ever.

So behalf of Alfa Romeo Owners of Southern California, I would like to invite every one to have two days of packed fun at Laguna Seca. For those who want to join me John. My two friends Brandon and Yuntak. Please go register as soon as the event gets going.

Arosc, is a very private organization. For reason I fully don't understand. They don't advertise their event a lot. For a great price for Laguna Seca. Estimated at if you are attending all two days it is $350 - $390. Which most track organizers charge for one day. You get to go two full days.

But trust me it is not just the great price, it is people who attend Alfa Romeo Owners of Southern California. They are in one word "great". I really want to see more G's and Z's at the track. And AROSC needs at least 120 drivers, and now they are about 100 drivers short. In order for the event to become a reality. Since the Organization is non-profit, they only charge drivers what actually cost them. And most of the time event organizers, staff, and board members picks up the losses.

So lets help Alfa club, and make the event fun for all who will be there.

This is mainly for the guys who track their G37's at the drag strip.

I was wondering if there are any list's of some of you guys who have taken your cars and tried to run them for time down the 1/4 mile. Stock is my main question, but if any of the modded guys would like chime in also, by all means I personally would love to hear.

I know Car & Driver and Road and Track have both run 13.7's. And I've seen 13.7 and 13.8 posted in other magazines. But I want to know what the actual drivers of our cars are getting. What are the best getting? 6 Speeds, and automatics as well. Personally I think if some guy from car and driver, and road and track or wherever can run a 13.7, someone who actually owns the vehicle and drives the vehicle more often, and basically knows the car like the back of their hand, might just have a slight edge in launching and banging out 3 gears, I feel. Maybe not. I could be wrong. But I would love to know either way.

I recently just purchased a 6 speed '09 coupe with the sports and premium package, and will be testing this theory out at the track myself once my car breaks in a little more.
