Alright guys, here we go.

I went to S&R Performance today to finally get my tune. The guys there were pretty cool and let me wander all over the place. I also think the tuner knew exactly what he was doing. We did like 4 runs total. The first one was 275whp, 308whp, 311whp, and then it went back to 302whp. I have 4 different maps, each having a different rev limit.

Map 1: full rev band (up to redline)
Map 2: max revs lowered to 3500
Map 3: 4000rpm
map 4: 4500rpm

For launch control: I go to whichever map i want to launch at, then specify after launching to revert back to map1, and it goes. i gotta try it out to see how it works.

Heres some pics
about to go on the dyno

too low, haha

strapped down

first run of 275, i didnt get a jpeg copy on my jump drive but i have a pic from my blackberry

the jpeg's that were copied to my jumpdrive of the runs:

302whp (final run)

311whp (best run)

A couple vids.

Overall i'm pretty satisfied with the gains. Now i'm not positive that i made a (275 > 311) gain because the 275 run ended at 6k rpm.

My blackberry did all the pictures/videos, so uh.. the quality isn't that good. Anyone know how the "Dynomite" dyno compares to something like a dynojet?

Today, I installed the GTM resonated test pipes @ the amplified motorsport.
Apparently, this mod is not for everyone. ;)
And, I decided to write a short review since I didn't see any review for the GTM test pipes.

The reason I went with the GTM resonated test pipes was becaues of the extended O2 sensor mounting(J-tube) in order to prevent the CEL.
I really didn't get any sign of CEL at all even after flooring so many times. Because of this, I didn't even worry anythin about the CEL.
But, I will keep watching.

I know F.I also started making the similar stuff,
but when I realized that, I had already ordered the GTM.

My first thought was that it were a little raspy,
but I after I drove 300 miles, it sounds exactly like F.I exhaust but a lot louder. No raspy and i don't feel any annoying drone:icon43: but A LOT LOUDER exhaust note!

I warn you that you will get lots of unwanted attentions. I have to put into neutral several time not to attract some police officers on the way back home.

When it comes to a butt dyno, I do really feel more pulls.
I really can tell there is an increase in TQ after 3k rpm.

But, a butt dyno isn't so reliable, so that's all i would say.
The GTM claimed +12.3 HP and +10.6 TQ with a dyno(Stock exhaust but test pipes).

Overally, I'm 98% happy with the GTM test pipes. (-2% for unwanted attentions:icon17:)
Also i want to say thank you to the amplified motorsports for getting me a good deal on this.
It was completely worth driving 2 hours for me.:):)

I have an appointment with S&R Performance on Nov 17th, 2009 to take my car in for it. I just got an exhaust installed (FI CF ftw!) and now ive completed my breathing mods im ready to get a tune.

A lot of the G35 and 350z people (including FI) have had great success using the osiris up-rev tune and i hope i can get some benefits out of it. This will include dyno time.

Heres a cut/paste of what its about:
---
OSIRIS STANDARD
Osiris Standard includes Cipher and utilizes the Cipher cable to reflash and communicate with the vehicle through the OBDII Diag Port. Osiris Standard also includes Map Switching allowing you to use different tunes for different situations and 3 eTune updates you can use at any time.

Osiris Standard is a licensed based system meaning your license will be transferred to the first ECU that is flashed. This vehicle can then be flashed as many times as the user wants, but the flash will not work on any different vehicles. One additional license can be purchased at a discount for enthusiasts that may have more than one vehicle, contact us for details.

Parameters that we will tune can do:

Up to 5 Maps on cruise control equipped vehicles
Idle RPM
Speed Limiter
Electronic Throttle Control to achieve Wide Open Throttle at all speeds
Rev Limiter
DTC disable
AFR Targets
Fuel Compensation
Ignition Timing Advance
Cam Phasing for equipped vehicles.
---
Anyways i am just looking for some input on going this route vs the cobb AP. Seems not a lot of us go with tunes after the intake/exhaust/hfc route.

COBB Tuning Surgeline just picked up this 2006 350Z Track Edition. It will be our newest R&D and test vehicle for AccessPORT and AccessTUNER development and is slated to be our test mule for forced induction testing. This car will see lots of dyno time, local track days and drag events. Trey thinks he might even be able to shame Tim in his GT-R with the twin turbo kit we plan to install.

The first modification will be a COBB Tuning AccessPORT and then some exhaust modifications and more tuning. Stay tuned to this blog and your favorite Nissan or Z-related forum, as we will be chronicling the buildup of this car over the next several months. For more information on the COBB Tuning AccessPORT for the 350Z go to our website or visit COBBTuning Surgline. We will be updating this thread with photos and updates, stay tuned!

I have the g37/370Z Nismo Finned differential cover.

I was wondering if I need to have the pumpkin/drive-shaft/axels removed to install the new finned cover?
