I dont have to be slammed on those if Im gonna rub. So I guess my question is which size would be better for an 11 inch rim for a more straight side wall. Roads here suck so.

Ok so Ive had the volk formula lug nut set since I got my wheels and painted the inserts silver to match the wheel.

Fast forward until now (4 months later or so) and I get a huge screw or small metal stake in my tire on the highway. I pull over after hearing the noise because I thought I had a flat. Anyways I decided I would just change the tire to the spare for now and take care of it this weekend. I get my flimsy little insert key which happens to be a plastic allen wrench and I attempt to remove the insert. The fcking inserts not only didn't spin and loosen but it stripped and instead of hexagon shape are now round and there is no way to remove them....from ANY tire. The cold weather and driving with them for so long must have tightened the hell out of them and somehow made them softer?

I decided to drive home with whatever the hell was in my tire. I heard it come lose and bash off the undercarriage. I made it home and then within 10 minutes the tire went completely flat to the rim. I now need to have it towed to the dealership in the morning and hopefully they can plug the hole and I'll be on my way. The problem is I need to change to stock winter tires any day now and have no way to remove these locks to get the fckin tires off! I have to call everywhere asking if they can cut them out and I will buy dif ones next spring, which sucks.

for anyone thinking about getting these, I strongly suggest you do not unless you don't want to ever change your tires. I guess they do their job and protect from theft anyways....

PS anyone have any suggestions how to remove these or where to bring it?

thanks

As some of you might know I was having some Tenzo Type M version 1's ordered for my G from HPA. Well small change in that idea. Andy called yesterday and said he found an even better wheel then the Tenzo, a wheel that not one G owner has yet that we know of! The AXIS Penta in matte black (Limited run)! Just what I was looking for. I told him to go ahead and order it. The order was placed Yesterday at 2pm and now today im sitting at home at 3pm with new wheels on my ride!! I love them, they make my car look so much more aggressive (I think so):driving:. Let me know what you guys think! Sorry for the crappy pics, Ill put more up tomorrow when i get my camera back from my fiancee:7:

Wheel setup

Fronts- 19x8.5 +35 245/35/19
Rears- 19x9.5 +40 275/35/19

Just one more thing to add.. I ordered my Magnaflow, Injen, HID's and now my wheels from Andy. Thus far no real complaints from me. Andy and his staff at HPA have taken great care of me and I plan to keep going back. Maybe these bad A$$ wheels will help sway some more member to use him!! Just an Idea.

2. Would using a different wheel size void any part of the warranty?
I'd especially like to hear from anyone who's done this. I know some have put the stock S wheels on an X, but I do want to stick with wheels that are at least all the same size, front and rear. Thanks in advance.

Hey guys,

I'm getting those wheels for my G37S Coupe which is RWD. I called SSR Wheels in the U.S and I asked them to give me a good size of wheels and wheels that will not rub. I'm not planning to roll the finders.

This is the size and the offset:
Front: 20x9 +22
Rear: 20x10 +30

My big concern on these wheels is the rear wheels lip should stick out more than the front. Is this offset size is good enough to make them look cool?

If anyone have an example the same rear offset on the same size of wheels. Can you guys show me some?

An advice about the size of tires would be really nice. I'm planning to drop the car by 1 inch or 1 inch and half at least. I'm not a big fan of big tires. I don't like something goes like 265... I like them to me stretched and less than 260

I would like to order the wheels asap.

My question is: I'm not going with the Falken's again cause they are the biggest piece of sh*t tires i've ever ridden on. Now I'm running stretched setup and wanted to see if I should run Hankook's and if they are any better than the Falkens? What other "affordable" tire options are there in 255/30/20?

This is a great thing for G37 Sport owners looking for winter wheels. The ASA JH3 is a popular winter wheel in the BMW crowd. I just bought a used 18" set with Dunlop Winter Sport tires for $600 yesterday from a local buyer. He used them on a his 6-series BMW for two seasons. The front tread is excellent and the rears are worn, but have one season left. A new set with the Dunlops would cost $1,600 on Tirerack.

Anyone looking for a used winter wheels should also search for ASA JH3's on craigslist and ebay.

Bring on the snow!

However, it's for 400$ (about).... is this necessary?

It says I can use the ones on my OEM wheels.... how much is the charge if I have the tire shop transfer mine over and is it worth the trouble or am I better off buying the TMPS on the winter ones?

Also, what happens if I don't have the TMPS installed at all for the winter wheel package? Is it that the light will be on the whole time but I can still drive it right?

Thanks fellas.
I want 20 inch wheels for my G, would those fit? I notice that alot of you guys are running like 255,275,285 in the back. Sorry for the ignorance. The 19" ones are Michelin and the 20's are Toyo. They all are new. Will any of them work?
