its to reduce the weight of the stock battery and give better power... I guess you are not familiar with braille i take it?

it was great... So much lighter than the stock and frees up alot of room in your battery compartment for things like fuse boxes and power wire kits etc... also on my volt meter read out is was always higher than stock especially through bass hits...
