GTM Performance Engineering Stage 1 Turn key Supercharger kit In house Instal II

As many of you know, We finished our first in house supercharger install Last week. The system was put in to the test instantly, customer drove 2300 miles back to Canada without any issues. Now we are moving to the second in house install for anther stage 1 turn key system .

The vehicle specs are 2008 infiniti g37 with the 6 spd MT, the car had the flowing mods

- Greddy Spectrum Elite - SE
- Motordyne Resonated XYZ - ultimate Y-pipe.

And it is getting the following

-GTM STAGE 1 SUPERCHARGER KIT (TURN KEY)

Stay tuned .....

Sam, an on-topic question. With the free-flowing mods with an aftermarket exhaust do you think it will result in boost drop on this set-up? I'm thinking heavily on this, but I currently have exhaust and test pipes with stock headers.

.... Can't wait for the results!

Subscribed. I'm considering supercharging my G in the future, and I am far from an expert, so I am trying to do my homework in regards to this kit and the Stillen kit. It's sometimes difficult to pick through the accurate posts/information and the unsubstantiated/baseless opinion. That said, thank you for posting this...

A freer flowing exhaust should not affects boost in a negative way. Probably some bugs that needs to be resolved like air routing from the super charger to the engine. Off course I could be wrong.

With an extremely free-flowing exhaust on a supercharger you lose boost. There's a thin line between nonrestrictive and too nonrestrictive when it comes to centrifugal superchargers. I could see losing a pound if there were aftermarket headers all the way back, but stock headers shouldn't drop the boost at all since it's still allowing back-pressure.

I'd like GTM to chime in though because what's the point of getting a supercharger kit if you can't run an aftermarket exhaust, high flow cats or test pipes?

/rant off

I don't think that's right.

I think it's way more complicated than a forum post could cover. Way too many variables to discuss. Books have been written about this. I do know that saying you need "backpressure" to create boost is incorrect.
