VQ37VHR intake manifold???

What does it look like inside? Does anyone have an exploided view of the manifold? Does air from the right side and left side throttle bodies ever mix?

My ultimate question is: How is boost equalized between the right bank of cylinders and the left bank on a twin turbo set up. Most of the intercoolers I've seen look like they keep the incoming air seperate from one another.

Does it come part enough to see the inside? I don't think it does. I think it's all glued together.

Dual MAF to single intake plenum to an "inline" manifiold feeding both left and right cylinder heads. Yes, the two sides mix in the intake plenum so the pressure from both turbos go into a common intake plenum. There are some nice pics in section EM of the service manual.

Edit: I dunno what is going on inside the intake plenum though!

Not to take up too much of your time, but do you know where in the service manual? I've found the blown up diagram of the upper and lower manifold and I can see "inline" lower manifold that you speak of. I'll go looking again.

Thanks for your input. No one else has been able to tell me how the two sides equalize pressure.

It starts on EM-27. There really isn't an upper / lower manifold. From the top down, there is a plenum cover, then comes the plenum assembly (where the two intakes feed into. Then comes the actual intake manifold with a single runner to each cylinder.

If the two sides mix, it will be in the intake plenum if it is one big chamber, but I honestly have never looked inside.

They call it the "Intake manifold collector", and "Intake manifold". I will call it the upper and lower intake manifolds. Exact same idea that Ford built for the 5.0L over 20 years ago.

I found these pictures long ago but they don't tell me what the upper half looks like inside. I think these are the ones you were talking about. I just want to know how the two sides equalize. I want to find a dissected view of the upper half.

You could just take off one of the throttle bodies and shine a flash light in there

Only 4 bolts to hold on a TB
