unfortunately (fortunate for me) i'm on my company's plan, so i'm not sure what the cost is.

I'm not sure about those, I believe I kept my old plan because I did not upgrade or activate a new contract, the only thing that changed for me was an extra $10 dollars when compared to the old iPhone plan.

You may want to go to attwireless.com and apple.com I'm sure they will have all the different plans online so you can spend some time at home deciding which is best for you without a salesperson on your back.

huh.

you mean would i pay 30k over msrp to be the first one in the country to have a gtr? heck no. i dont like burning away money like the dude that just did that. bet he doesnt care either about the 30k he just threw away.

Some people take it to extremes, like camping in front of Apple 5th Avenue a WEEK before the iPhone was released, or paying $700+ for a phone! I only had to wait 45 minutes and I was already ready to leave. At least the price won't change this time around, I'd hate to wait in lines for hours, spends hundreds of dollars on a phone just to find out a few weeks later it was much cheaper and can be purchased in 5 minutes. When I got mine today I felt like I was at Disney except the ride kept breaking down ; [

I hear somewhere in OC the GT-R markup is $70K. WTF, $150K for a GT-R??? I'd rather get a Lambo for a few K more...

Anyway, it seems the overall consensus is that everyone on this forum loves their 3G iPhone, but people on HoFo are complaining about battery life (although it's a bit premature to take that seriously, especially since I'm sure they're on the phone 24/7).

Keep those opinions comin!

I already know 3 people who had to take their phones back do to bugs. They all had glitchy screens that flickered and something else was wrong too. My brother in law is a manager at an Apple store here in AZ and he told me on the DL that there were pretty high numbers of unhappy people already and returns/exchanges. He advised me to wait atleast a month or so for everything to be worked out, cause some of the first batch have problems.

Just FYI, the new iPhone 3G will NOT charge in the G37

I bought one the first day it came out and found out that some of my accessories/chargers (even my G37) for the original iPhone will not charge the new iPhone 3G.

I took it back to the store and got my money back 1 day later.

LMAO. That's histerical to return a phone because it does not charge on the car's dock.

It's Infiniti's fault.. not Apple's.

A little background info:

Firewire voltage is 12V
USB voltage is 5.5V

The car, for ease of design, uses the firewire pins in the dock to charge. Apple - 3 years ago - told all vendors and manufacturers that they would be phasing out legacy firewire connectivity... even charging.

So if you think about it, you should be returning the car b/c Infiniti cannot follow directions. :P

Not just my car, but some chargers I have at home won't work.

My iPod radio doesn't charge the new 3G, when it worked flawlessly with the original version.

Even the old iPhone dock doesn't fit the new one.

I don't feel like buying a whole new set of accessories just to accomodate the new 3G. Easier just to keep the old one.
