Spring Clean and Detail

Well the weather finally got nice enough to get the G out and really do a proper detail. After the unusually harsh winter we had here with record snow falls the car was really in need of some major TLC. I spent the last 2 and a half days working on it and was able to try out a lot of new products from detailed image along the way. Big thanks to DI for having such and amazing site and great deals on detailing supplies. Here is a list of all the products I had out ready to use. Some things I ended up not needing but had them ready just in case.
Meguiars Gold Class Car wash
Stoner Tarminator
Chemical Guys Grime Reaper
Chemical Guys Fade to Black
Poorboys World Spray and Wipe
Clay Magic Fine Grade Clay Bar
DI Accessories E-Z Detail Brush Mini
P21S Polishing Soap
P21S Finish Restorer
Porter Cable 7424
Poorboys SSR 3
Poorboys SSR2.5
Poorboys EX-P Sealant
Menzerna Final Polish II
Lake Country Green Light Cutting Pad
Lake Country White Finishing Pad
DI Waffle Weave MF Drying Towel
MF Wash Mit
MF Wash Spounge
MF Applicator Pad
Lexol Leather Cleaner
Meguiars Supreme Shine Protectant
Stoner Invisible Glass
Blackfire Long Lasting Tire Gel
Pictures were taken with Nikon D3000 SLR
Everything laid out and ready to go

Ready for wash using 2 bucket method and Megs Gold Class Car Wash with MF Mit

After it wash all washed and clayed. I appled a coat of Poorboys EX-P sealant late last fall and after I got it clayed was suprised at how well it held up.

What I had to work with in the paint. Actually alot better than I was expecting.

The Tanabes All soaped up with P21S Polishing Soap

Taped up ready for polishing. Ended up going with Poorboys SSR 2.5 and the green pad for the hood/front bumper and trunk/rear bumper. Then the rest of the car with Menzerna Final Polish II and a white pad.

New DI 4oz Despenser Bottles. Much easier to carry around and use.

Finished Polishing

Poorboys EX-P Sealant Applied

Sealant Removed. Time to let it cure overnight. Done for day 2.

Sealent cured over night. Then applied a coat of Nattys Red Paste Wax this afternoon. The pics don't show it as well but it really makes the metalic flakes pop in person.

Excellent turn out on that detail and great photography as well! The car looks stunning. I love the look of the wheels and the exhaust came out looking like new. This pic you can tell the flake is jumping...

Keep up the great work and thanks for the kind words!

That looks great. Now fly out to Virginia and come clean my car

I am really digging that tire gel also. I wish I didn't just go out and buy two bottles of Black Magic Spray. What are your tire sizes? They look great on the stocks.

Thanks Game. I really liked how the combo worked. Especially the SSR. I used Menzerna Intensive Polish last time and it seemed alot harder to work and left polishing dust EVERYWHERE. The SSR was still a little dusty but was alot easier to work with and remove.
