Illuminated Door Sills

Installed them yesterday, took about 2hrs but I was taking my time. Install is pretty easy other than a few things:

Instructions are vague; you need to take some time to sort out what they are saying in the areas of connecting the electrical blocks and putting masking tape extensions on the 2-side tape so you can pull the protective layer off while it’s almost in place.

I’m a little concerned how well the 2-side tape will hold up long term. The new sill’s only use that adhere to the car where the stock sills use clips. It’s a subtle Mod but I think they add a touch of class.

Removing the two plastic vent covers that are on either side of the center console area up under the dash was a pain. One clip broke even though I took care. They are the tab/slot kind. Putting them back on they didn’t latch very well (even the one I didn’t break) so I’ll wait and see if they stay.

If you cleaned the area before you stuck them on.....trust me...they will not be coming off haha. That is some serious adhesive and if applied correctly they will not come off.

Cleaned it with soap and water then with 50/50 water & rubbing alcohol as instructed. Guess they are on there then :-)

They are there for the long haul....you would have to pry them to get them off and probably still wind up putting a dent in the aluminum before they came off haha. Ive used similar adhesives like that before and learned that if you dont it right the first time, you're screwed lol
