2014 Sedan

Ive been around here for awhile. Started on G35Driver

2008 G35S sedan
2011 Maxima Sport (wrecked)
2011 G37S coupe (wrecked)
2012 FX35 - current
2012 EX35 - current

I'm always around here searching for parts, trading, customizing. I love my EX but I miss my 2008 G35S sedan.

Loved my 2011 G37S coupe - but after a nasty rear end I was not heartbroken to see it go...not enough room for me.

This just in...can't wait to see the 2013....

I think it is going to rock. Now for powertrain info...

I see no drastic skin change except for sheeple LEDs. The real change better be a major powerplant upgrade since the new 328 isn't a slouch. I'm not too impressed yet.

At the very least they need to make the IPL version something much more performance oriented or ditch it altogether. Hopefully the front end isn't too busy, seems like that's a trend now, and not a good one IMO.

The rear ressemble the M a bit more as far as I can tell. Liking the little I can make out so far.

Thanks for the link. Was waiting for this.

Lets see:

Rear exhaust cut out looks a bit different (more square now).
Fog light setup is a bit differnent. Kind of have the current 'coupe' style fogs.
Hood lining looks raised.
Grille = Different. But eh.
LEDS = but location looks off? Reminds me of the TL.
Interior dash lining looks almost the same.

But thats all i got. Maybe Im wrong but they did a good job hiding it.

I agree with IPL Sedan. Would be lovely.

Hopefully the best part will be under the hood, I'm sure this is the base model seeing here is no bbk and smaller wheels, I have a feeling it's going to look great.

I would love to wrap up a car like that, imagine the looks driving down the road haha. Nice fat rear wheel wells

The earlier spy pic of the mule has a wider track... and oddly a transverse rear muffler.
This one has a different stance.. look at the relationship of the front wheels to the body in the shot where the wheels are slightly turned.
Nice to see the same side windows, instead of that stupid jog the JX has, it makes the car look like it's fighting the wind. I would have liked a fastback, even a hatch, like the A7.
And nice to see the double hood over the gauge cluster that we saw in the spy shots has been retained.

Car makers seem to be more willing to try creative/innovative designs with their lower end cars. In the way the honda accord coupe styling looks better than anything in acura's line up. I'm not saying I love the new altima, but its definitly a drastic change with some edgy lines. The infiniti's on the other hand get much more conservative and less noticeable tweaks...they are scared to just crap the designs on come up with something new and fresh. The current G37 design ain't bad, but it couldn't definitly use a refresh...something that makes it share less form factor with the gensis coupe.

IMHO the current G is tired... out-dated for this market. It's just been too many years. A styling update is not enough at all.. it needs a thorough rework from inside to out. IF it's got a new chassis, and if the emphasis stays on crisp dyanmics, then this will work for us (not that we are mainstream G buyers).
At worst, though, it could be a bizarre oddity like the Etherea concept... or a pimped out mommy car like the JX.
Lets hope Infiniti comes to it's senses and makes a truly worthy G.
