Seat heater switches from 2009 G37 coupe

I give up on searching this forum, so I'll just ask...

Does anyone know if the **** style seat heater switches and trim piece from a 2009 G37s coupe will fit a 2008? I hate those cheap Radio Shack rocker switches on the 2008.

Thanks,
David

The factory switch is just a three way toggle switch right? If you just taped off the low heat power wire, couldn't you just introduce a dial type/resistor switch? I could see why the 08 wouldn't fit the 09 as you may have to wire in the low heat? How many pins on the back of the 09 switch?

I'm curious, what do you miss about the 08, other than the switches, that the 09 doesn't have?

I don't think you can swap them since the ****-style found on the 2009's allows you to select 6 temperature settings. IMO this is way better than a rocker switch with just high and low settings.

That's why I asked how many pins are on the back of the **** switch. Could it just be like a resistor similar to the dash lights switch?

ehh, seems like swapping would be to much trouble for something that I hardly notice, but thats just me. However, I don't like how the 08's have that dummy switch in between the seat heating switches if you don't have the intelligent cruse control option

I do have the ICC option, but I still have that blank button between the seat heater switches.

They used the same centre console as the sedan. In the sedan that's where the "Snow Mode" button goes if you get the AWD option.

You're right. Especially when using the heated seats down here happens about 5 times through the year. It just looks so much cleaner to me. I think the switch in between is for the convertibles to control the roof... I hate it too.

^^^ You're right this looks more like the button.

In my X Coupe the snow mode switch resides in that 'blank' that you're referring to.

I too prefer the dials, sometimes low can be not quite hot enough and high is can get too hot for me.

Oh ok, i gotcha, i just figured it was for ICC, but anyway I can see how several different settings could be nice.

haha yea I know, I hardly ever use my seat heaters. But I think it could be kinda cool to retrofit that dummy switch with a real switch for something, idk what though.

ICC controls are on the right side of the steering wheel.
