So, I'm putting together my winter tire and rim package on tire rack... at the end of the checkout, there is an advisory that I should have them include TMPS sensors onto the 4 wheels.

However, it's for 400$ (about).... is this necessary?

It says I can use the ones on my OEM wheels.... how much is the charge if I have the tire shop transfer mine over and is it worth the trouble or am I better off buying the TMPS on the winter ones?

Also, what happens if I don't have the TMPS installed at all for the winter wheel package? Is it that the light will be on the whole time but I can still drive it right?
