OK guys, I did a search on google and found this and other videos. Is this a good starter tip on how to hold the club and get a straight shot?

I really don't know how to hold a golf club correctly so I thought this would be a good start and then practice. I seem to be able to kit irons rather straight as long as I don't swing like I would when swing a baseball bat meaning swinging really hard to get the ball to go farther. Drivers I always slice. I don't hold my golf club like this so I was wondering if this could be the reason for the slice.
